Mummy is still trying to catch up with his feeding demand(60-70 ml per feed) by breastfeeding or pumping in the day and supplementing with formula milk(60 ml per feed 3 times ) at night. Milk supply is on the rise, reaching 80-90 ml per pump today, which is good news for mummy and Isaac.
Diaper changing is still challenging for mummy who fumbles over diaper, wet wipes, bottom wiping, nappy cream while trying to avoid baby's poo staining diaper wrap and swaddling blanket. Mummy is still very clumsy at this task and needs to put in more practice.
Singing and talking to baby Isaac is the best part of the parenting job and he always seems to enjoy such interaction with daddy and mummy. Mummy is trying hard to recall nursery rhythms and children christian songs to sing to Isaac, while daddy introduces the Liverpool team and players to him in an apparent effort to convert his son to be a die hard fan of Liverpool. Ha Ha Ha!!!
Bathing Isaac is something we have not tried so far. Daddy is going to take on the bathing challenge tomorrow under the confinement lady's supervision, while mummy attempts to record this event for both daddy and Isaac. Stay tuned!!!
Having a confinement lady is definitely the right choice for us, we will be totally exhausted if left alone with baby for the first month.
We thank God everyday for this bundle of joy and pray for wisdom, love and patience to take care of Isaac. God Bless Baby Isaac!!!
