We signed up for Mount Alvernia's antenatal class last week and the first lesson was on nutrition for mum-to-be.
There are some good advice on daily food plan that will provide the necessary nutrition for me and the growing baby, and I realised I have not been consuming enough calcium. Well, blame it on my lactose intolerance, I really cannot stomach 3 glasses of milk daily, especially plain milk. I think I will try to stick to my one glass of HL or Meiji chocolate-flavored milk and pray that my other food intake and calcium tablets make up the rest of the requirement;)
Here's the recommended daily food plan:
Rice 6 servings
Protein(meat and alternatives etc) 2 servings
Diary (milk, yoghurt, cheese etc) 3 servings
Fruits 2 servings
Vegetables 3 servings
